By creating an account or using Algebro, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you are a teacher or school administrator, you may accept these Terms on behalf of your students.

If you are a parent or guardian of a student under 18, your child's use of Algebro is subject to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the platform.

Algebro is an educational platform designed to help middle school students learn math through:

• Interactive lessons
• Guided practice
• Quizzes
• An AI-powered learning guide called Bro
• A virtual reward system (BroCoins) and cosmetic customization features

Algebro is intended as a supplemental educational tool and is not a replacement for classroom instruction or professional teaching.

Algebro supports the following account types:

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with others.

Parent accounts include the following billing terms:

• Free trial: New parent accounts receive a 7-day free trial with full platform access. No credit card is required to start a trial.
• Base subscription: Algebro Access costs $10/month and includes 1 student profile.
• Additional profiles: Each additional student profile (beyond the first) adds $5/month to the subscription.
• Promo codes: Promo codes may be applied during a trial to extend the trial period. Promo codes cannot be combined.
• Payment processing: All payments are processed by Stripe. Algebro does not store credit card numbers or payment method details on its servers.
• Recurring billing: Subscriptions auto-renew monthly. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal.
• Refunds: No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
• Access suspension: Platform access for parent-created student profiles is suspended when a trial expires or payment fails until the subscription is activated or payment is updated.

School-based student and teacher accounts are not subject to these billing terms and remain free for school use.

You agree not to:

• Use Algebro for any purpose other than education
• Share your account or use another person's account
• Attempt to access data belonging to other users
• Submit inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or exploit the platform
• Use automated scripts or tools to interact with the platform

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

We may modify the BroCoins system, item pricing, or available items at any time. There are no refunds or compensation for virtual items or currency.

Algebro includes AI-powered features such as the Bro learning guide and automated quiz feedback.

• AI features are provided as learning aids only
• AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors and should not be considered authoritative
• Students should not enter personal information into AI chat features
• AI tools supplement, but do not replace, teacher instruction

All content on Algebro, including lessons, questions, graphics, and software, is owned by Algebro and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, or reproduce platform content without permission.

Student-generated content (such as answers and reports) remains the property of the student and their parent or guardian.

Your use of Algebro is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how data is collected, used, and protected. We are committed to:

• Never selling student data
• Never using student data for advertising or marketing
• Using data only for educational purposes and platform operation
• Honoring data deletion requests from parents, students, and schools

Algebro uses strictly necessary cookies for authentication and platform functionality (such as remembering which student profile a parent has selected). We do not use advertising, tracking, or third-party marketing cookies. By using Algebro, you consent to the use of these essential cookies. Schools and school districts ("School") that authorize the use of Algebro for their students agree to the following:

• The School acts as the authorized agent for parents with respect to student data and consents to Algebro's collection and use of student information for educational purposes as described in the Privacy Policy.
• The School is responsible for notifying parents about Algebro's data practices and providing parents with the opportunity to review and request deletion of their child's data.
• The School will only distribute class access codes to students whose parents have been notified of and consented to Algebro's data practices.
• Student data collected through Algebro will be used only for authorized educational purposes and will not be used for advertising, marketing, or profiling.

Algebro is designed for use by middle school students, including children under 13. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

• Student accounts are created through schools using class access codes, operating under COPPA's school consent exception.
• We collect only the minimum information necessary for educational purposes.
• Student data is never sold, used for advertising, or shared for non-educational purposes.
• Parents may review, request correction of, or request deletion of their child's personal information by contacting us or their child's school.

Upon termination of a school's use of Algebro or upon request from a school or parent:

• Student data will be deleted within 30 days of receiving a written request.
• Deletion includes all educational records, account information, virtual currency, and inventory data.
• Aggregated, de-identified data that cannot be linked to individual students may be retained for product improvement.

We aim to keep Algebro available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

• Perform maintenance
• Update or modify features
• Temporarily suspend access when necessary

You may stop using Algebro at any time. Account or data deletion requests will be processed within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. If a school or teacher requests removal of student accounts, we will comply.

Algebro is provided "as is" for educational purposes. We do not guarantee:

• Specific academic outcomes
• Grade improvement
• Curriculum completeness

Algebro should be used alongside regular classroom instruction and educator guidance.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If material changes are made, we will notify users through the platform.

Continued use of Algebro after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
