Hi, I'm Justin. I build Algebro out of East Orlando.
Algebro started with my mom. She's been an educator for most of her life and is now a school principal, and for years I listened to her vent about math scores, and about how the tools her teachers were handed never quite fit. Everything was generic.
Nothing could tell a teacher which specific B.E.S.T. standards a student was missing, and nothing gave that student practice on exactly those standards.
The alternatives for parents weren't better: tutors run $40 to $80 an hour, and the big national math apps don't know what a B.E.S.T. benchmark is.
So I built the thing she couldn't find. A diagnostic that figures out where a student actually stands, a study plan built from those results, thousands of questions written to specific Florida benchmarks, and real dashboards for teachers and administrators, because the first person who described this problem to me runs a school.
Algebro started with 6th grade math. It now covers all of middle school: lessons, practice, diagnostics, and full-length FAST practice tests for grades 6, 7, and 8, plus a placement test that finds a student's true level anywhere from 1st grade math through Geometry. Algebra 1 and Geometry are next, and eventually more subjects. But the goal stays the same: help students, parents, teachers, and administrators get to real academic success without breaking the bank. And if you email jkorwin@algebro.ai, I'm the one who answers.
