Sample Spaces for Repeated Experiments: Sample FAST Questions

A sample space lists every possible outcome of a repeated experiment, such as rolling a number cube twice or flipping a coin three times. 8th graders build sample spaces with organized lists, tables, and tree diagrams, then count the outcomes.

How the FAST tests this benchmark

FAST items include multiple choice questions about the number of outcomes, equation editor items for a count, and drop-down or hot text items completing a table or tree diagram. Experiments repeat at most twice, except for coin tosses, which can repeat more.
