How Algebro Reads the B.E.S.T. Benchmarks
Every question in Algebro is written for one Florida B.E.S.T. math benchmark. This is where we show our work: FDOE's exact words for each benchmark, how we read them, and how the questions were built around them.

Why this page exists
“Aligned to B.E.S.T.” is on every product in this space, and it is hard to check. So instead of a badge, here is the whole reasoning. The FDOE text sits first, untouched, so you can judge our reading against it. Where FDOE leaves room, we say what we decided and why.
If you teach one of these benchmarks and think we read it wrong, tell me: jkorwin@algebro.ai. I build Algebro, and I read every one of those emails.
What we check before a question ships
- Every assessed benchmark has questions, and every question is filed under a real FDOE benchmark code.
- When FDOE's wording makes a graph, number line, table or figure part of the skill (“graph the function”, “given a box plot”), a set share of that benchmark's questions has to show one. When FDOE rules one out, none may.
- Assessment limits that can be checked in the text are checked, for example no ordered-pair rules on MA.8.GR.2.3.
- Every answer key, and every alternate form we accept, is run through the same grader students use. A blank answer never counts as correct.
