Writing a Quadratic Function from a Graph, Table, or Description: Sample Algebra 1 EOC Questions

Given the vertex and another point, or a table showing the symmetry of a parabola, students write the function. Vertex form is usually the fastest route, and converting to standard form is often the second half of the item.

The given information always includes the vertex plus two points equidistant from it, and the vertex and its coordinates are integers. Marked points on a given graph are never x-intercepts, which is what separates this benchmark from MA.912.AR.3.5. Equation editor items accept any equivalent form of the function.
